I got my first...

...shiner! Don't worry, no one hit me. I got a mosquito bite on Sunday morning, and then I fell down and bumped myself today at daycare. Well, apparently, I bumped myself in just the wrong place, right on the mosquito bite, and the little bump combined with the allergic reaction to the bite got all swollen. So I look like someone punched me in the eye. Aunt Kati says that's called a "shiner" and she hopes I won't get any more, but she suspects I might get other bumps and bruises, since I am an active boy!

Here's a picture of my shiner

And here's one that Aunt Kati thought was funny. I didn't want her to take my picture, so I kept putting my hand up to cover the camera lens. Aunt Kati said I was practicing for the paparazzi. Because I'm famous, remember?

Maybe I'll be

Aunt Kati says that eventually I will be "grown up", and that I will do something as a "job" (whatever that means).

Maybe I'll be...

... a veterinarian...I really love my cats!

... a chef...

...or a food taster...

...or maybe a bartender!

... a drummer...

... or some other type of musician.

... an explorer, or maybe a spelunker (that's a big word for people who crawl around in caves). I like to crawl around through small spaces and under things...

... a pilot. I have lots of fun with my helicopter!

... or maybe I'll play a sport.

Aunt Kati said that although she sometimes wonders what I will do when I grow up, my job right now is to play. And I'm definitely really good at that!

Soon I'll be...

...one! Aunt Kati says that in less than two weeks, there will be a very special day called my birthday. That will be one year since I was born. Wow, can you believe it? I have been so busy learning new things, that I didn't realize a whole year had gone by. Maybe to you, a year doesn't seem like that long, but to me it's my whole life!

Aunt Kati says that when you have a birthday, you have a party and get presents, so I'm looking forward to that part. I love when my friends come to visit me for something fun like a party!

If you can't come to my party (or even if you can), and you want some ideas of things to get me for a present, you can look at my Target wish list here. Or you can give me clothes (and they don't even have to be new...I love getting clothes from my friends that they wore before but that don't fit them anymore). I need 12 - 18 month sizes (for warm weather) or 18 - 24 month sizes (for neutral or cold weather). Thanks in advance!

Feeding myself

I am working on learning to feed myself. I am really good at eating with my fingers, but now I am practicing with spoons and forks. I'm pretty good at it so far. Here's an example.

Hoppy Easter!

Aunt Kati told me this morning that today is a very special day. It must be one of the really special ones, because there are decorations in our house for it. Here's an example, which happens to include some really cute pictures of me!

As usual, on special days, I get to wear special clothes, and one of the special bibs, and I also get little gifts and cards. I like special days!

Today, the special day is called Easter. My friend Marcy gave me this cute outfit to wear for Easter. Aunt Kati gave me a cute plastic egg with a chick hatching out of it. Here I am in the outfit, having fun with the egg.

Here I am looking at the card I got from my Tutu Katy. (Tutu means Grandma, in case you don't know...)

In this picture, you can see the inside of the card. It says peep-a-boo. Isn't that cute?

Finally, here I am in the cute bib!

Three steps!

Today, I did something new. Aunt Kati said it was a big deal. I took three steps, not holding on to anything or anyone! I was standing up at the coffee table in the center of the living room. Then I turned around and went toward the TV (even though I know I'm not allowed to play with it!); after that, I went back to crawling. Apparently, this is called "walking" and I will learn to do it better and do it a lot. Aunt Kati says she's sorry that she doesn't have any pictures of me walking for this blog, but she wasn't expecting it me to suddenly do that, so she didn't have the camera ready. She said she'll put some pictures here sometime soon (first, I have to do it again, which I haven't so far...)

Connor's Hat

On the cruise mommy and I played with my sun hat. Of course grandma Lyn and mommy thought I was adorable! You decide!
