Welcome to Hawai'i!

When we landed in Honolulu we got our rental car with a great discount! Because Daddy is a Kama'aina (pronounced kama-i-na, meaning native). We got our rental car for 10 dollars a day! Daddy took me home and held me up to Abby the 13 year old doggy who kinda smells like pee pee.. sort of like me sometimes. She licked my feet to give me kisses!

Daddy put me in my Air Force onesie but apparently I didn't like it.. I was an unhappy baby!

We drove around Kaneohe (Kan-A-O-hay) where Daddy is from and then we went to Pali Lookout. This place is famous because it is where King Kamehameha pushed the king of Oahu off the lookout. Check out the section on Kamehameha's Ambition here for the full story.

Here we are at Pali Lookout! Long way dowwwwwnnnn! Kaneohe is behind us by the bay. How pretty!

A Cold Pacific Beach

Day two in Oregon Mommy really wanted to drive to the coast (about an hour and a half from Salem) to see the Pacific Northwest Coast. It was really chilly but very pretty in a natural way. Grandpa carried me to the ocean.
Mommy found a jellyfish-eww!
Then they left me for the waves to carry me away! On NO!
Just Kidding!!

The big boys and I took time for a picture. They sure are tall!
And Daddy showed off his tough muscles carrying me back up to the car.
This place is called Seal Rock because the seals like to hang out there and bark. We didn't see any seals but we could hear them.
Then we visited a national park and we to see their lighthouse. this was a picture from the peak where the lighthouse was. It was a very pretty view.
The lighthouse was pretty small but very cool. I think I will develop a love of lighthouses just like the rest of my family.
And Daddy being tough again, he is quite tough you know.

My trip to a state.. full of trees

Soooo... My I don't know how to use my panorama view on my camera yet, but welcome to ORE----GON!!!!
We went to see the capital, Salem, and this is the capital building. There were a lot of flags for each state and this big gold dude on top of the building. I don't know who he is and I slept through most of this because mommy was carrying me in this fun carrier thingy.
Then we met grandpa Mike for dinner. He cuddled me for a bit but I slept most of the time we were together.
This is Domino, I think... Grandpa's friend Jan has TWELVE dogs! They are all pretty labradors that she bred for showing and selling! They are a handful and got really excited when we were over!
Oregon is kinda chilly but it was fun!

Ridin' the Plane

My first plane ride was very uneventful. The airport people put us at the back of the plane so we wouldn't disturb the other people if I cried, but I just slept until we landed. I was very well behaved and the roar of the engines didn't bother me.

Daddy fed me sometimes from a bottle- On the big Hawai'i flight mommy fed me. I slept a lot and didnt cry too much, it was pretty fun!

This is the view of the Great Salt Lake. Now I have been to 4 states so far! Colorado, Oregon, Utah and Hawai'i! I am gonna be a world traveler!

Baby's First Wedding

Daddy's friend John Payne got married on June 1st to Josie ... Payne. The wedding was really fun even though I slept through the entire ceremony. The park had a pretty lake and the gazebo was on the water while we sat on the bank on big rocks and watched from afar.  Josie looked really pretty and her dress was gorgeous.

When the preacher said "You may now kiss the bride" this is what happened.. Pretty cute huh? John cried but that is okay-real men cry.

Everyone got together in the park and ate sandwiches and fruit. It was kind of windy but I slept through most of this as well. John and Josie cut the cake and they had a big cake fight, with too many pictures to post.

All of Daddy's squadron mates got together and took a picture with John. They all just graduated and stayed in town for John's wedding.

John got the garter and shot it to the guys. They were all anticipating the catch. Daddy decided to "watch me" while mom took a picture, therefore he did not have to partake.

This picture is funny because all the guys were looking in the air at the same time to see where the garter would land. We had a great time at John and Josie's wedding, Congratulations guys!

My Babysitters Love Me!

The Lesters-Mommy's sponsor family have watched me twice and they love me so much! They say I am very good for them and say I am cute!

Mommy's roommate Jenn gives me kisses every chance she gets! She really loves me too! She used to tell Mommy that she was gonna kidnap me and take me to Mexico, so if I go missing you know where to find me!

Lazy Daddy

So Mommy asked Daddy to get me up and bring me down while she got my nice warm bath ready. She heard him moving around but 5 minutes later neither Daddy nor I had emerged. She came upstairs and this is what she found. Daddy decided to get back in bed with me in tow!

After the first flash Daddy didn't seem very happy at the prospect of pictures being taken.
Then he tried to fend Mommy off with a hand swat, but Mommy kept nagging until he took me to my bath!
After my bath Daddy still looked tired, but I looked clean and ready to pose for the camera.
