This is Connor's aunt Kati, also known as Ocrakate on my other blog. My husband John and I are greatly blessed in that Connor will be living with us for the first few years of his life. So we are in the midst of preparing for his arrival. Luckily we just bought a house with four bedrooms so he will have plenty of space to grow and play.
Last week, John painted Connor's nursery. His Mommy had asked for a bright lime green color to go with the theme she picked for his room, which is Tiddliwinks Under the Sea. Here it is!
That's the Under the Sea mobile, of course.
Here's another cute item I got for his room. (Ebay is a wonderful thing...)
I'll post more pictures once things are more done...it's a work in progress right now!

Surprise "Hanging" Shower
So here I am, walking into work today, and I turn the key to my room and am thinking, "man, the door wasnt locked..." I open it up and what do i find to my surprise? A boat load of baby stuff neatly arranged on my walls and table. Here are some pictures and close ups of when I got it all home (I didnt have my camera at work).
So this was the general haul of stuff I got. Damon thought that that was a wedding cake, not a diaper cake, and he was really confused as to why anyone would buy me a three tier cake -slightly excessive as I am not THAT fat.
There was a great baby book and lots of adorable outfits. Each diaper in this "cake" was rolled and individually tied with ribbon, then circles of them were tied with more ribbon and the final big ribbon was put on the outside as decoration. I had to cut each one individually as to not waste any diapers.
I thought these outfits were SO cute, especially the dinosaur one on the left. It says cute things like roar! and munch! although this is for 6 months so he has awhile before he can wear it.
This was my other favorite outfit!!!! It is too big for him for awhile but oh my GOSH how cute are little baby overalls and polos?! I mean really, lets be honest here.
Overall I feel very blessed to have received these gifts and I was so surprised, I almost started crying in the middle of my room. Now just imagine this stuff piled on a table with all the baby clothes hanging from my chalkboard. SO CUTE. Thank you Wildflower Elementary! You make me feel very blessed and loved!

Not Your Typical Baby Shower...
The first official post of the ABC blog! I just wanted to post some pictures of the baby shower last week for all three of you who actually look at this! :)
This picture is how we kicked off the night. There is a very hilarious video of it that you can find on facebook of Damon pinning the first penis on the paper baby.. (I DREW THAT, I know, its amazing..) He couldn't win of course, that would not be fair. Check it out.
This next picture came later in the night when we had a baby diaper changing contest, I should have watched Damon closely to see how he did, but lets just say, their team didn't win...
This picture is of my tummy, or Connor, however you would like to think about it. I know its not very big, but apparently he is 4lb 9 ounces (estimated by ultrasound) so I must seriously be all baby..
This was a high point of the evening. We told everyone to get in teams of 2, one person had to "give" one had to "take." So of course Damon being the tough guy he is was like, "I am the man, ill take" Little did he know what he was going to be taking.. His faces were HILARIOUS. I thought he was going to puke and or die. To my surprise, the one he MOST disliked was banana, which his partner (Corbin, who is feeding him) ended up eating the rest of because it tasted good. He got 2/6 correct, and labeled one as beer, which clearly we would never feed a baby..
This was the present opening portion. I did not include all the pictures because I am sure you dont care about every little onesie Connor got, but this one was cute so I put it in. That is a mattress at the bottom that Damon's roomate got for us. Other things we received included a crib (yeah I know, my friend bought a CRIB), blankets, 3 sets of the same monitor (my registry was acting up), some baby einstein toys and lots of bibs and onesies.
Hope you enjoy reading ABC!
Next post: Connor is born!!!!! Keep watch for it in mid to late April, or whenever he decides to make his grand entrance.. I had my own time table, I am sure he will too.
