The finger

I like to give the finger! Don't worry, this is a family blog. Besides, I'm only 15 months old, you know this can't be dirty. :)

Going to "school"

I love my "school". It's really called a child care center, but Aunt Kati and I call it school, because that's shorter and because I learn lots while I'm there! I like school so much that I am very happy in the morning when Aunt Kati says it's time to go - I get my lunch and we're off! Here's a video so you can see my routine.

15 months

Aunt Kati says that she is sorry this blog is being posted late, and that the picture isn't all that great. (Yeah, she's a poet too, apparently.) Anyway, I was tired and cranky when Uncle John tried to take my picture on my actual 15 month birthday, so I didn't cooperate very well (that's what Aunt Kati said, anyway). So she's planning to take another picture of me with Squeakers but it has been a very busy week and she hasn't had a chance yet!

Anyway, here's the one picture Uncle John was able to get of my tired, cranky, uncooperative self.

And here's another recent - much cuter - one.

Before you leave any comments: yes, Aunt Kati is fully aware of my need for a haircut. She says she has been playing "phone tag" with Susie (that's the nice lady who cuts hair for people here on the island). I'm not sure what that means, but I guess I'll probably get a haircut soon.

In case you're interested, at my 15 month checkup appointment, I weighed 23.6 pounds and was 31.5" tall. I just keep growing and growing and growing!

UPDATE. This morning (Sunday 7/26), I was very cooperative, plus I was wearing this really cute outfit, so here are some good pictures of me with Squeakers.

Incrediblock update

Do you remember my Incrediblock? Well, it has special blocks that make it play music when you put them on the top in just the right way. When I was little, I couldn't figure out how to do it, but now I've got it down pat!

Tea for two

Uncle John drinks iced tea every day. Actually, it's a special mix of lemonade and iced tea, called an "Arnold Palmer". He really likes it, and I know why. It's because it is delicious! (I know because Uncle John is nice, so he shares it with me.)

Following directions

While it is true that I only speak Connor-ese so far, I understand plenty of English, and even usually follow directions. Here are a couple of video examples for you to enjoy.

I love to read

One of my favorite things to do is to get a book from the shelf in my room and "read" it. Sometimes, I take it to Aunt Kati or Uncle John to read to me, but other times I like to sit down on the floor with it and look at it all by myself.

Blowing kisses

Check out one of the new things I can do now! Just imagine that you are here, and I'm blowing these right at you!

The ice boy cometh...

I love ice! When Uncle John drinks his iced tea, I always ask him to share some of his ice with me (I ask by pointing), and because he loves me, he always does.

Connor-ese

I haven't said any words yet (well, not in English anyway). But I like to talk a lot all the same - I just talk in Connor-ese! Here's a video with some examples.
