...my two teeth! Aunt Kati promises we won't post multiple blogs about teeth any more after this, but we wanted you to see how cute I am with the two I have so far.

Merry Chris-moose!
The first Christmas present I opened on Christmas Eve was this really cute moose. You can see how much I like him!
The moose came with a nice note from my Granny. It says "Dear Connor, I always think little people like soft floppy animals the best. And this is surely the softest floppiest. He is not a Hawaiian moose - he is an Alaskan moose. His name is Moose. Love, Granny."
I think Granny is right about little people and soft floppy animals, because I sure do love Moose!

Some firsts
I went to Howard's Pub for the first time today. I also did something else for the first time: sat in a restaurant high chair! It was pretty comfortable, because Aunt Kati got me a cover thing that goes over the chair and makes it softer. It took me a while to get used to sitting in it, but after a bit I kicked back and reclined!
In this picture, I am eating zwieback toast. I can hold it and munch on it all by myself!

My first Christmas!
This is going to be a long blog post, with lots of pictures, because apparently this Christmas thing is a big deal. Although we have been celebrating by going to parties and concerts, and visiting with Santa for several weeks now, the big celebration part started last night and continued this morning. Here's the story, with pictures so you can see how fun it all was!
Last night was called Christmas Eve. We went to church for a special service. During the service, Aunt Kati sang a song called "O Holy Night" with her friends Lou and Marcy. Now I know why she has been singing it to me multiple times every day...practice!
After the song, there was a kids play about the story of Christmas. I was in the play!
Mommy said I was the "second best baby Jesus ever." The only better one was...well, Jesus.
When church was finished, I got to see Santa again!
Mommy took a turn sitting on Santa's lap, too.
Then, we got family pictures taken by the Christmas tree.
Then we went home and Daddy opened the "first gift of Christmas". This is a "tradition" which means it's something we'll do again next year. Aunt Kati says it's to remind us what Christmas is really about.
(It's a music box and it plays Silent Night, in case you were wondering...)
Then, we each got to open one present. Here I am, opening mine (with some help).
My present was a cute, soft moose. I loved him so much, and had so much fun with him, that he is worthy of his own separate blog post. So watch for that in a few days...
After everybody else opened one present, it was finally time for bed. I was tired! While I was sleeping, Santa Claus visited our house and brought a whole bunch more presents!
On to Christmas Day...
First, we had to open the last box in our "advent puzzle". We have been opening a box every day for the whole month of December. There have been mini chocolate bars (Mommy loves those), scripture verses (telling the story of Christmas, from the book of Luke), and small figurines of people for the nativity scene.
The baby Jesus figurine was in the last box...
...so we put him in...
...and then the nativity was all finished!
Then, we opened our stockings. Mine had peach yogurt drops in it. They are delicious!
Then Mommy handed out the presents to everyone. She does this every year, and she is called "Elf Jocelyn" while she is doing that. Here I am with my big pile of presents!
(It was time for me to eat, so that's why I'm wearing one of my "Baby's First Christmas" bibs).
Then, everyone took turns opening their presents and saying thank you to each other for them. (And THANK YOU to all of you who sent us presents but weren't here to hear us tell you that on Christmas morning!) We also said thank you to Santa for the ones he brought us, of course. Aunt Kati helped me open my presents. I got lots of great toys. Some of my favorites were the maracas, phone, music table, frog for bath toys (and bath toys to go in it), magic Mozart music cube, music ball, dump truck spoon and fork, toy organizer, Baby Einstein books (and other books), Green Bay packers PJs and cup, soft blocks with cars, socks, shoes...okay, I admit it - I like everything I got!
This is what the living room looked like after we were all done opening our presents!
Whew...I am tired after all that blogging. I hope you enjoyed reading about my first Christmas!

I'm 8 months old!
I keep getting older! Aunt Kati says I should get used to it, because it's not going to stop.
Anyway, I'm now 8 months old. Here are my latest pictures with Squeakers.
One of the new things I have started doing lately is waving. Here's an example!
I like sitting back and relaxing with Squeakers...
As usual, here are the links to my other pictures with Squeakers, so you can see how much I have grown:

Bagel boy
Today I tried another food I can eat with my fingers. This one was easier to pick up and hold so I could gnaw on one end. Aunt Kati says it's called a bagel. I liked it!

Another party!
I went to a party with Mommy and Aunt Kati today, at Ocracoke Child Care. It was lots of fun!
You can see the stocking I made on this bulletin board fireplace.
We decorated Christmas cookies. Mommy did the decorating for me. And then she and Aunt Kati did the eating for me too!
But she gave me a big kiss to make up for it!

A party!
Uncle John, Aunt Kati and I went to a big party today. I have been to many parties before (usually potlucks); in fact we went to a HUGE one last night. I think everyone who lives on the island was there! But the party today was different ~ it was the first one I went to that was just for kids! There were games and activities (which Aunt Kati did for me, but it was fun to watch...) And then the guest of honor arrived! No, it wasn't me. It was Santa!
Got my goodie bag...ready to party!
These nice girls made "reindeer food" for me. I will leave it outside on Christmas Eve so the reindeer can have a snack.
Aunt Kati made me a mini Christmas tree. I chewed on another one while she worked.
When it was finished, I enjoyed looking at it. Aunt Kati did a good job!
Then Aunt Kati decorated a t-shirt for me.
Here it is!
Uncle John took this picture of me with Aunt Kati near the Christmas tree.
And then he took me to wait in the line to see Santa.
Here I am with Santa!

My pianos
I have two pianos that I like to play. No, they are not baby grands or anything like that...they are baby pianos, of course! They are lots of fun. One plays music notes, and the other one plays music notes, animal sounds, and songs!
Here are some pictures of me playing the music notes one:

And as usual, I always like to try to figure out how things work, so here I am inspecting the piano very closely.
And here are some pictures of me playing the music/animal sounds/songs one:
I like the lights at the top of this one...they come on when I hit the keys.
Sometimes I get distracted by the flashes from Aunt Kati's camera, and then I just have to stop playing and look up at her.
