Another kind of cruisin'!

I went on vacation with Mommy, Grandma Lyn and Aunt Kati for a week. We went on a big ship, which is called "cruising". It was fun, and I liked the way the ship rocked back and forth. I slept really well every night! Here are some pictures from our big trip!

Mommy and me in our suite on the first day of the cruise. You can see Charleston Bay out the window, and a sailboat going by, too.

One of the things that you do a lot on a cruise is EAT. Here's a picture of me eating a biscuit while Mommy, Grandma Lyn, and Aunt Kati ate lunch.

I really liked looking at the water through this big window.

Aunt Kati took lots of pictures of me while I was looking out the window, so after a while I turned around to see what she was doing, and that's when she got this cute picture of me.

The first place we went on the cruise was an island called Great Stirrup Cay. There was a nice beach there, and some shady places with hammocks (which is where we hung out most of the day). We ate lunch there, and I played and took naps in my tent. Here's a picture of me with Granda Lyn on the island.

One of the places we stopped on our cruise was called Nassau. It's in the Bahamas. While we were there, we went on a semi-submarine, which had big windows so we could see the fish, coral and sharks (yes, we even saw sharks!) through them. I liked those windows a lot, too!

Another thing that people do on cruises is go to the spa. Mommy went and had a pedicure, which means they made her toes pretty. Aunt Kati and I went to visit while she was there, to take a picture and get a hug.

After Mommy's pedicure, we went to hang out in the coffee bar, where Aunt Kati and Mommy drank a smoothie (they said it was delicious), and Aunt Kati took this really cute picture of me. You can see my new teeth!

One of the other cool things you see on cruises is towel animals. This monkey was everybody's favorite! (The balloons and decorations were in our suite because we were celebrating Grandma Lyn's birthday.)

Well, that's it for the cruisin' summary. Hope you enjoyed some of the stories of our trip!

I'm cruisin'

In the language that people use when they talk about baby development, "cruising" means "walking along while holding on to furniture". I am excellent at it. I also really like playing with coasters, as you will see in these pictures.

My "bowler" hat

I have a new hat! Well, sorta. I have found all sorts of fun ways to play with one of my favorite toys. Here are some pictures of the latest!

My tent

Did you know I have a tent? It's in the living room. It's not an outside, go-camping kind of tent, it's a play tent for kids. I got it from my friend Lachlan.

(Yes, these pictures are old...you'll see they were taken before my haircut. You'll also be reminded of just how badly I NEEDED a haircut!)

Okay, so here come the photos!

I like to crawl into my tent and look out the window.

I also like to EAT the window!

My big kitty Jamie likes to go into my tent, too. It's one of his favorite snoozin' spots.

Balls of (almost) all sorts

I love balls! I have several of them.

This one talks, and moves on its own. When it does that, I have to chase after it!

This one has tags all over it, and a bell inside that makes a sound I love.

And then I have bunches of these little ones. I like to bang them together.

Sometimes, they roll away and I have to chase after them, too. They can roll really far really fast!

But at least they are small, so they are easy to grab and pick up when I catch up to them.

Now here's the funny thing. I have all those balls...the one that talks and rolls by itself, and the one with the tags and the bells, and the bunches of little ones with things inside them to look at, plus one that is a ball within a ball that giggles. But I don't have just a normal, plain old, regular ball!

This picture doesn't have a ball in it, but Aunt Kati says it's just a really cute picture of me and you might like it, so here it is!

Stack 'em up!

I have a fun toy that Aunt Kati calls a "ring stacker". I don't care what it's called, I just like to play with it, putting the rings on the post. Here are some pictures so you can see how good I am at it!

First, the blue ring...

...followed by the green one...

...and on to the yellow. Sometimes, I have to use both hands!

Here comes the orange one!

And then I got distracted by my spoon...

...so I had to play with it for a minute...

...but finally, I got the red one on the top!

Baby play group

On most Saturday mornings, Aunt Kati and I go to the Methodist church nursery and play with other babies and kids. It is really fun! Here are some pictures from last Saturday.

I love this ball...and my friend Charlotte, too!

Favorites

I have lots of great toys, and I enjoy all of them.

But one of my favorites is not even a toy - it's a bowl! I love to hit it with my hands...

...or with a wooden spoon.

One of my other favorites is this cute baby Big Bird. I have had him for a long time (as long as I can remember!) I like to chew on his foot.
